On the move: Manvir Brar signs with Simon Fraser

GTA midfielder Manvir Brar (91) has accepted an athletic scholarship from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, one of Canada’s top post-secondary institutions. SFU has one of the most respected reputations as a soccer power. Brar will join the storied NAIA program. The move also allows the Canadian national team pool player to be close to the national programs and staff out west who can follow his efforts for future consideration.

Said SIGMA TD Bobby Smyrniotis: “Manvir is an excellent player and above all an excellent person to have on your team. His commitment and work ethic is second to none and only he knows where his limit will be in this sport. I am happy that he will be joining a program coached by a good friend of ours in Coach Alan Koch.”
